Pleasant Green Pool will be a host location for this year's free World's Largest Swimming Lesson event on June 22, 2017 from 9:00am - 9:30am and from 6:00pm - 6:30pm.
Join thousands of kids and families at aquatic facilities and waterparks around the globe for The World's Largest Swimming Lesson on Thursday, June 22, 2017. We're making a huge splash to spread the word that Swimming Lessons Save Lives. Don't miss your chance to participate in the eighth annual WLSL event to help prevent drowning, the second leading cause of injury-related death of children ages 1 - 14.
Registration for this event will begin at 8:30am for the morning session and at 5:30 for the evening session. All participants must register before participating in the WLSL event so please arrive early to get registered. This is a free event so there is no registration fee.
Remember, learning to swim is a process, not a single day event. This one-time lesson event is designed to build awareness and teach beginners how to be safer in and around the water, not replace a longer, structured learn-to-swim program. While many lesson participants will have already mastered the basic skills taught in the lesson (the lesson is open to swimmers of all skill levels), the WLSL event is still a great opportunity to teach and refresh skills that make everyone safer around the water.
