The City of Goodlettsville is proud to host the Music On Main Summer Concert Series this summer on the grounds of City Hall. These events take place on select Thursday nights in June, July, and August each year. The Event sponsor for this concert is Jubilee Hills Senior Living.
Thursday, June 15 features Cody Collins at 6:30pm
Cody Collins is following the music dream! Born on June 1st, 1984 in Dothan, Alabama and growing up in Pensacola, Florida, Cody was a natural-born musician. By 13 years old, Cody was performing locally for audiences at festivals and fairs.
At age 15, Cody joined a Country band called McAlyster who were later signed to MCA Records and had some success with the release of single “I Know How The River Feels”. Following the split of the band, Cody moved to Atlanta, Georgia to perform at a honky-tonk called Cowboys. It was at Cowboys where Cody was introduced to Dean Sams, keyboardist for multi-platinum selling Country group, Lonestar. The pair discussed the possibilities of working together, but never had Cody anticipated the opportunities ahead.
At the end of 2007, Lonestar’s lead singer Richie McDonald left the band to pursue a solo career and following a rigorous audition process, Cody was brought in as his replacement. Cody rocked the stage as Lonestar’s lead singer for 5 years debuting their up-tempo album "Party Heard Around the World".
