Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation welcomes you to join the fun of the holiday season by participating in this year’s community contest! The Gingerbread Man Gallery will be on display through December 29, 2023.
Contest Information
To Start: Pick up your template and entry form starting November 1, 2023 at the Delmas Long Community Center.
To Enter: Bring your completed entry form and Gingerbread Man to the Delmas Long Community Center from November 1, 2023 – December 12, 2023. No Entry Fee Required!
Entry forms are available at the Community Center or printable from this page by clicking here.
You can drop off your Gingerbread Man on the following days:
Monday - Thursday 10:00am – 6:00pm and Friday 10:00am – 3:00pm.
Must be delivered with completed entry form by December 12, 2023
Gingerbread Man Decorating Rules
The base structure of the Gingerbread Man must be made out of cardboard, paper, foam board, or poster board. Gingerbread men made of other materials will not be accepted.
· The Gingerbread Man must be the size of the template given by Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation. Please ensure that your craft is proportional to the provided template. Crafts exceeding the size limit will not be accepted.
· Lights are not allowed.
· Decorations made with food are not allowed.
Contest Categories
Kids- ages 5 - 12
Teen- ages 13- 18
Adult– ages 19- 59
SeniorAdult – ages 60 and over
Group– includes families, organizations, schools, clubs, etc.
Gingerbread Gallery Location
Delmas Long Community Center, 200 Memorial Drive, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. The Gingerbread Men will be displayed during the month of December.
Judging & Prizes
A panel of judges will evaluate the craft and announced the winners on Friday, December 15, 2023. Judging is based on creativity. Winners in each category will be recognized and receive a Ribbon for their Masterpiece. The Gingerbread Man becomes the property of Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation once it is entered into the contest. The Gingerbread Men are not returned to the creators. Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation reserves the right to not display a Gingerbread Man considered unsuitable for any reason.
