TN native. A large tree of the white oak group, that was native to our bottomlands of TN. In the 1800’s and 1900’s farming and damming of our rich bottomlands probably destroyed our greatest Swamp White Oaks. Leaves similar to white oak yet with more lobes and shallower sinuses. A great oak that is only in the last 20 years being propagated to greater extents.
