Overview
The purpose of the public works inspector is to ensure 100% compliance with all Federal, State and City regulations on new construction projects and existing commercial operations within the City of Goodlettsville.
Construction sites are one of the major sources of pollution to our local streams, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Sediment (soil that's run off of a construction site) can pollute our local streams, choke out wetlands, harm aquatic life and adversely affects water quality. The Public Works Inspector helps ensure that each construction site within the City of Goodlettsville is doing it's part to help prevent water quality pollution.
The Public Works Inspector is also responsible for the oversight of existing businesses which are deemed possible pollutant sources such as automotive related businesses, hazmat storage facilities, industrial users, etc.
What can you do to help maintain great water quality in our streams?
