Heritage Days Return in 2022
Heritage Days is an annual event we are excited to bring back in 2022 after a two-year suspension. We are currently offering two dates in April: Tuesday, April 5 (APRIL 5 IS SOLD OUT FOR GROUPS AS OF MARCH 11) or Friday, April 29 (SEVERAL OPENINGS FOR GROUPS). Once those dates are full we will open up additional April dates. At Heritage Day, guests have the opportunity to experience life on the frontier and witness skilled demonstrators and artists. Guests will have a chance to SEE, FEEL, and TOUCH different historical trade skills such as blacksmithing, leatherworking, woodworking, working with fibers and cooking.
Heritage Days allows guests to experience the frontier at their own pace until 1:00 pm. The cost for children ages 3-17 is only $5 and ages 18 and up $6. April is also a great time to be outdoors and enjoy the park, so feel free to bring blankets and picnic on the lawn of the Bowen House or anywhere throughout Moss-Wright Park.
Heritage Days is open to the public as well as school or tour groups. For any group with 10 or more total guests, reservations are required in advance. To request a reservation for your group on Heritage Days, please complete this online form and a staff member will get back with you.
If for any reason this annual event conflicts with your schedule but you would still like to bring your group to a field trip at Historic Mansker’s Station on another day, please complete this online form and let us schedule a group tour. The group field trip does not include ALL of the trade skills experienced on Heritage Days but does include a few depending upon the field trip you select. Either option will be a great experience for your group, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
