[ARCHIVED] City of Goodlettsville kicks off new Neighborhood Enhancement Program

NEP_logo_color

The City of Goodlettsville is excited to announce the newly formed Neighborhood Enhancement Program to improve communication between residents and City officials and staff. City leaders held a kickoff meeting in May to gauge interest and to discuss the direction of the program. Representatives of various neighborhood groups were invited, and positive discussions came out of the first meeting.

The City’s goal is to have representation from each neighborhood within the City.

The Neighborhood Enhancement Program would ideally meet quarterly with Goodlettsville officials and staff to discuss upcoming City projects and any updates pertaining to the neighborhoods, as well as, projects that the neighborhoods can do to improve the community. Examples include developing a resident contact list for social media and email notices, city grant programs for home and property improvements, unique neighborhood signage to define the boundaries of the neighborhood, and clean-up days.

If your neighborhood is interested in working with the Goodlettsville Neighborhood Program, you can contact the City’s Planning and Development Services Department at (615) 851-3741. The next Neighborhood Advisory Committee meeting will be held on June 13th at Goodlettsville City Hall at 6:00pm.
