The City of Goodlettsville has approved Phase 1 of paving improvements to Moss-Wright Park in the 2018 Fiscal Year budget. The paving improvements will begin on Monday, July 10, 2017 and will cause portions of the park to be closed for approximately one week as crews prep and pave the affected areas.
The areas included in phase one are all paved surfaces on the west end of the park from the main entrance, including the main park road, the trail head parking lot, and the road by the Bowen-Campbell House; and portions of the trail on the east end of the park. These areas will be closed to all vehicular and foot traffic at all times during the project.
With these closures, park patrons are asked to use the main entrance only for access to the playground, shelter 3, and for use of the sand volleyball court. Patrons should enter the secondary entrance of the park for access to athletic fields and the walking trail.
The walking trail will be open with the exception of ¼ mile of “the hill”, which starts near the secondary park entrance and winds down along Madison Creek.
