Historic Mansker’s Station is now open on the first Saturday of each month for tours 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The Visitor’s Center Gift Shop will be open during these same hours. These are new additional hours for the historic site. Tours will continue to be offered Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. The Visitor’s Center Gift Shop is open Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Historic Mansker’s Station portrays a significant time period in Tennessee history. Mansker’s Fort is a replica log station that was built in the Middle Tennessee area in 1779. The original Bowen House is the oldest standing brick home in Middle Tennessee and was constructed in 1787 by Captain William Bowen and was the birthplace of Tennessee Governor William Bowen Campbell. Guests who visit Mansker’s Fort and the Bowen House will experience life at Historic Mansker’s Station through a hands-on tour guided by interpreters clothed in 18th Century attire. Admission fees range $6-$8 and children 5 and under are free.
