The City of Goodlettsville has announced the lineup for the 2019 Music on Main Summer Concert Series. This live music event features acts of different musical genres, food trucks, and activities for the kids. This year’s series is presented by Simmons Bank and takes place on select Thursdays in June, July, and August from 6:30-8:00pm and will include a special Music on Main for Kids! as part of the lineup for 2019.
All events take place at Main Street Park on the grounds of Goodlettsville City Hall.
The summer series kicks off of Thursday, June 6, 2019 with the family harmony band, Rockland Road. A multi-instrumental family band with deep music heritage, Rockland Road has performed at the White House, Library of Congress, Grand Ole Opry, on the Mike Huckabee show, and at the NBA playoffs. Their unique talents will take you on a musical journey across multiple generations and genres.
On Thursday, June 20, 2019, the band Hoffman will take the stage. Hoffman in one of Middle Tennessee’s premier show bands. This high energy 5-piece show band brings a variety of music from new and classic Country, to Classic Rock, to Rhythm and Blues. You are sure to enjoy the sounds and high energy.
New for 2019, Music on Main for Kids! will feature children’s entertainer Dre Hilton on Saturday, July 6th at 10:00am. Dre Hilton is known for his dancing and electrifying energy on stage. He comes from a musical family and he got his start playing drums for his father’s church at the age of 5. He learned piano at age 11 and then developed skills as a songwriter and music producer. Dre has performed for schools, churches & other youth organizations with a fun filled stage show for children. Also at this special Music on Main, children’s activities include face painting, balloon artists, and games and activities.
Entice returns to Music on Main as a crowd favorite on Thursday, July 18th. Entice has shared the stage with some of the great funk, soul, and R&B acts like Cameo, The Ohio Players, Boggy Blue Bland, Rick James, The SOS Band, Parliament-Funkadelic, and The Barkays.
Wrapping up the 2019 Music on Main Summer Concert Series will be Moonshine Outlaws on Thursday, August 1st. Moonshine Outlaws is a band of musicians that came together with four distinctive musical backgrounds. Blending and mixing their vocals and musical talents, they bring out the best in each other. Each member of Moonshine Outlaws, on their own, is an accomplished artist, songwriter, and stage entertainer.
Amy Mitchell, Goodlettsville’s Director of Parks and Recreation, said that the Summer Music Series gives the citizens an opportunity to enjoy some talented performers at a city park for free. “We are excited to announce this year’s lineup and look forward to the positive experiences that the community has at these events. We are fortunate to have businesses like Simmons Bank recognize the importance of community development through recreation.”
