The Goodlettsville Citizens Leadership Academy is a citizen engagement course designed to provide Goodlettsville residents with a better understanding of the workings of their municipal government and how city services are delivered. The program gives participants a comprehensive look into city departments, programs and services offered in each, and tours of city facilities. Learn how Goodlettsville is governed, how the annual budget is developed, and how your tax dollars work for you. The Citizens Leadership Academy is a free program designed for City of Goodlettsville residents 18 years and older.
The class schedule runs late summer into fall on Tuesday evenings between the dates of August 13 – October 15 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Class graduation is then held at the City Commission meeting on Thursday, October 24th at 6:30 p.m. Classes will meet in different city facilities depending on which department is highlighted that evening. Class size is limited to 20 participants. To be as fair as possible, we ask that Goodlettsville residents only apply if they can commit to all classes, with the exception of the allowance of one missed class. Graduation certificates will be presented to those participants who meet these requirements. Apply online.
