[ARCHIVED] Music at the Market, Thursday, September 19

Music at the Market

The Goodlettsville Farmer’s Market will host Music at the Market, a free live music event on Thursday, September 19 between 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm to celebrate the opening of the new Gateway to Music City Exhibit which is located inside the Goodlettsville Visitor’s Center.

Entertainment will begin with Leroy Troy and conclude with Rockland Road.  Leroy Troy is a Goodlettsville native who has been playing banjo since he was a young lad and continues to play all over the world. Rockland Road is a multi-instrumental family band with deep music heritage who plays all over the country.

This event will be held outdoors on the lawn beside the Goodlettsville Visitor’s Center, 705 Caldwell Drive, behind the Farmer’s Market vendors. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of free music.  The Farmer’s Market will be open until 7:00 pm so plan to purchase your baked goods, produce, and beef, pork, or chicken for the week.  Bring a cooler to store your purchases if needed.  Parking for Music at the Market will be at Moss-Wright Park with easy sidewalk access at the back of the Visitor’s Center.

Food trucks, ice cream, cookies, and shaved ice will be available for purchase, and children’s activities will be provided at no cost. The Tourism Department will be giving away a $100 gift certificate to the Goodlettsville Gift Shop which will be open during the event.
