[ARCHIVED] How to Dine "Out" in Goodlettsville During COVID-19

COVID CoG Takeout Blitz

As we navigate thru this unchartered territory of social distancing from crowds and dining out, the City of Goodlettsville Tourism Department also known as Visit Goodlettsville, would like to call attention to local restaurants offering takeout, curbside pickup, and delivery.  “Several of our fast food restaurants already have drive-thru windows and appear to be doing well,” Kimberly Lynn, Director of Tourism said, “We want to bring attention to those restaurants who rely on walk-in traffic that have made adjustments to their business operations so their customers may still enjoy their favorites during this time.”

The City of Goodlettsville offers a web page at the top of http://www.goodlettsville.gov dedicated to COVID-19.  Within this page, click on City of Goodlettsville Restaurant Takeout Blitz for a list showcasing Goodlettsville restaurants that offer takeout, curbside pickup, and delivery.  The page features more than 15 restaurants with their telephone numbers and is refreshed daily.  To minimize contact with others and minimize wait times, customers are encouraged to call the restaurant in advance with your order.  Several restaurants have adjusted their hours of operation during this time, so please verify the hours with a phone call as you plan your meal.  Others have adjusted their menus with family meal packs or daily specials.

Supporting these establishments will help our favorite local restaurants continue to provide jobs for their employees as well as food for the community.  Gift cards are a great way to “pay it forward” so consider purchasing a gift card when picking up your meal.  Other ideas are to purchase meals for first responders or healthcare employees and have those meals delivered.  What about those family members, neighbors, or friends who may be isolated at home alone?  Could you have a surprise meal delivered to them?

As we continue to practice social distancing from crowds, pick up the phone and place an order at one of your favorite restaurants or at a new restaurant you have been wanting to try but never had the time.  This is how we continue to find the GOOD in Dining “Out” in Goodlettsville!

Stay the course and stay calm, because we are Goodlettsville and we will overcome.
