[ARCHIVED] Mark Becknal Chosen as the New Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Goodlettsville

Mark Becknal joins the City of Goodlettsville staff as the new Deputy Fire Chief. Mark has over 25 years of experience in fire service.

Becknal recently retired from the City of Houston, TX as Senior Captain, District Training Officer and Paramedic. He has most recently been working as an evaluator for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Becknal holds certifications as a Master Firefighter, Fire Service Instructor II, Field Examiner, Paramedic, and as an Incident Commander.

“The City of Goodlettsville is proud to welcome Mark Becknal into the new role of Deputy Fire Chief,” says Goodlettsville Fire Chief, Phillip Gibson. “Mark’s work experience coupled with his wide range of expertise in fire service make him a good fit for this new position and a good addition to the Goodlettsville Fire Department,” adds Goodlettsville City Manager, Tim Ellis.
