In recognition of his outstanding performance in traffic enforcement and his efforts to save lives on the streets of Goodlettsville, Officer Daniel Knalls was selected as the recipient of the Governor’s Highway Safety Office Middle Tennessee Officer of the Year Award.
For the period of January 1, 2013 through October 1 of the same year, Officer Knalls has conducted 706 traffic stops, half of which were for moving violations. He has made 8 DUI arrests and 61 other traffic arrests. Officer Knalls is committed to the concept that crime control and crash reduction is achieved through aggressive traffic enforcement. He is always looking beyond the stop to find further ways to impact crime in the Goodlettsville community. He does this without faltering in his other duties and responsibilities as a patrol officer.
